“Sphulingo”, a film directed by Tauquir Ahmed, is set to release at 35 theatres across the country today, marking the golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence. Originally, the film was supposed to release on March 19. The cast of the film includes Abul Hayat, Mamunur Rashid, Shahidul Alam Sachchu, Shamol Mawla, Pori Moni, and Zakia Bari Mamo, among others.
“Releasing this film on such a momentous day for Bangladesh is an honour,” shares Tauquir Ahmed. “This film is about the youth, and about our Liberation War. I hope that audiences turn up in theatres to enjoy this film, maintaining all the safety guidelines.”
